Weymouth’s Les Enfants Terribles announces end of an era after 11 years

Restaurant Les Enfants Terribles in Weymouth is bringing its current chapter to a close after 11 years, with a heartfelt thank you to staff and customers — and a hint at what could come next.

In an announcement on the restaurant’s Facebook page, Eric confirmed that Friday 18 September 2026 would be its final day “as we are”, as those behind the business prepare to take a new direction.

“After running our restaurant for the last 11 years, we have now decided to draw a close to this chapter and set off in a new direction,” he wrote.

Eric paid tribute to the staff who have worked at the restaurant over the years, thanking them for their talent and contributions with the message: “Merci beaucoup à tous.”

On behalf of Joanna, the team and himself, he also thanked the loyal guests who have supported the restaurant since it opened, describing it as “our little slice of heaven”.

While the announcement marks the end of the restaurant’s current chapter, it also hints at further plans.

“Watch this space for what’s coming next! We have got plenty cooking!” Eric wrote, encouraging customers to follow the restaurant’s Facebook page for updates.

The post does not reveal what the new direction will involve or when further details will be announced.

Eric ended his message with a further thank you to customers for their continued support and encouragement.
